Nyungwe Forest, located in Southwestern Rwanda, borders Burundi, Lake Kivu, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is possibly the best-preserved montane rainforest in Central Africa, and was declared a National Park in 2004. It's estimated to cover an area of 970km2, composed mostly of rainforest, bamboo and grasslands. Day 1: Airport Pick up with transfer to Nyungwe forest
Upon arriving at Kigali International Airport, you'll be warmly welcomed by one of our representatives and your safari guide/driver. They'll provide you a brief introduction to the journey, the safari, and the destination. Depending on your flight schedule, you may make a few stops along the way or simply drive straight to Nyungwe Forest National Park and check into your booked accommodation. There, you can relax, have dinner, and stay overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee and Colobus Monkey tracking
Yesterday, your guide gave you the briefing for today. Rise early to have breakfast, then drive to Nyungwe Forest at 6:00am to start your tracking session. Do it in the morning so you'll be back in time for lunch. After lunch, get ready to find the gorgeous colobus monkeys in Nyungwe Forest National Park. Hopefully, it won't take all day and you can come back to the lodge for some well-deserved R&R while viewing your photos. Dinner will be served at a time suitable to both you and the lodge.

Day 3: Departure with Airport drop Off
Given it's your last day here and that you have your flight details, wake up, have breakfast at the hotel/lodge, then check out. The check-out process shouldn't take long; afterwards, you'll either go directly to the airport or have a brief Kigali City Tour with lunch before transferring to the airport.
