Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda's largest and oldest national park, covering about 3,893 km² in the northwestern part of the country. It is best known for the spectacular Murchison Falls, where the Victoria Nile squeezes through an 8-meter-wide gorge before plunging about 45 meters into the "Devil's Cauldron," creating one of Africa's most powerful waterfalls.
Wildlife: Lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, leopards, hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, and over 450 bird species, including the rare shoebill stork.

Getting there
The park is approximately 305 km (5–6 hours by road) from Kampala. Domestic flights are also available to nearby airstrips for quicker access.
