Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

  • Golden Monkey Trekking: Mgahinga is the only national park in Uganda where visitors can track the endangered golden monkey.
  • Volcano Hiking: Three extinct Virunga volcanoes lie within the park:
    • Mount Muhabura (4,127 m), Mount Gahinga (3,474 m), Mount Sabyinyo (3,669 m), where Uganda, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo meet.
  • Batwa Cultural Trail: Experience the history and traditions of the indigenous Batwa people, who once lived in the forest before it became a protected area.

Wildlife
